We love seeing these selectors together on a lineup. Both Natty and Big Body played their first Bass Coast Music festival this past summer, to rave reviews. Natty also curates his Public Hearing series of shows with us- featuring DJs such as Dane, Max Ulis, Thomas Workshop and The Mole. R|V^H is one of the founding members of the Ironic Spin stage at Otherworld and also curates a night for us at the Downbeat- His Back Underground series focuses on techno and house sounds, leaning towards the deeper varieties.
This night will be an opportunity for them all to open up and share some new music with us.

Natty aka The Night Mayor, has grown his following and dance floor sensibility with a combo of unwavering support for his local scene and relentless listening sessions, promoting shows and festivals and grooving to other DJs for the past 20 years. At times defying the 4/4 foundation of his first love of house music and keeping his sets fresh across the genres of many aspects of dance music, old and new. Natty is a favourite amongst dancers and his fellow artists with his immaculate selections and positive energy behind the decks, creating profound experiences that toy with irresistible tension and unpredictable release. 2024 saw Natty bring a new monthly residency in Victoria, Public Hearing, with a focus on supporting newcomers and veterans alike and presenting extended sets of club curated multi-genre dance music in an intimate setting.

Big Body is a longtime fixture in the Victoria dance music scene, both behind the decks and in front of the booth. He’a a dancer’s DJ, slinging sassy 90’s house gems, euphoric prog groovers and bossy club ready thumpers. Weird, cute, fun. Leaving audiences smiling and sweaty, he digs for the hidden gems of today and yesterday- your new favourite tunes. Big Body is also the founder of Vibrate, a club night built to explore the dimensions of the broader 4/4 sound. He is also the creator of Voyages.fmm a psychedelic mix series for guided inward exploration

R|V^H's (aka Rick Van Hassel) sonic palette is a testament to his diverse influences, drawing inspiration from a wide spectrum of artists, producers, and styles. His musical tastes traverse the minimal realms of house and hypnotic techno, where the essence of each beat is experienced in its purest form. Yet, R|V^H's sonic explorations go beyond convention, as he finds himself captivated by the fusion of driving percussion and compositional synthesis that defines genres like melodic house, deep house, and techno. A resident DJ at the Downbeat Event Centre, R|V^H is curating Back Underground - a series highlighting Techno; and specifically that of the deep, hypnotic, acidic and electro styled realms. A key member of the Ironic Spin clan, you can frequently find him throwing down deep/progressive house or techno sets amongst many a Burner crew. R|V^H’s sets are more than tracks laced together, they’re journeys, inviting listeners to explore the profound connection between music, presence, movement and emotion.
